Meth sentence
Jackie L. Himelick, 23, Economy, entered a plea of guilty in Jay Superior Court to possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
She was sentenced to one year in the Jay County Jail with all but 90 days suspended and 90 days credit given for 45 days served, fined $100 and assessed court costs of $168, ordered to pay drug abuse fee of $200 and substance abuse program fee of $400 and placed on formal probation for nine months. As the result of a plea agreement, charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia were dismissed.
Nuisance plea
Donald W. Burress, 53, Dunkirk, entered a plea of guilty in Jay Superior Court to maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony. He was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 144 days suspended and given 144 days credit for 72 days served, assessed court costs of $168, ordered to pay a drug abuse fee of $200 and a substance abuse program fee of $400, and placed on formal probation for eight months. As part of a plea agreement, a charge of possession of paraphernalia was dismissed.
Battery sentence
Heather M. Teal, 30, Redkey, entered a plea of guilty in Jay Superior Court to battery, a Level 6 felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.
She was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with eight days credit for four days served, and assessed $168 in court costs.
