Season ends for FRHS runners

TIFFIN, Ohio — The season came to an end Saturday for the Tribe girls runners.
It also marked the end of Travis Sutter’s junior campaign.
The Fort Recovery High School girls cross country team finished 11th Saturday at the Division III cross country regional meet at Tiffin University.
Minster claimed the team title with 32 points, finishing ahead of Liberty Center’s 75. St. Henry was third with 134. Fort Recovery totaled 262.
Freshmen Hannah Heitkamp and Chloe Will paced the Indians, finishing 40th and 48th respectively. Heitkamp had a time of 20 minutes, 41.4 seconds, and Will crossed the line in 20:53.3. Elise Gehle (21:42.9) and Caitlyn Huelskamp (21:44.1) were 77th and 78th respectively. Alexis Hobbs completed the team score by finishing 109th in 23:29.0.
Also running were Chelsea Timmerman (119th – 23:54.6) and Grace Gehle (128th – 24:29.5).
Emily Sreenan of Lima Central Catholic was the individual champion in 18:37.5.
Sutter was the lone FRHS boy to compete in the regional meet, and he finished 82nd in 18:08.4. Antwerp’s Sam Williamson claimed the individual title in 15:34.8.
