Local notes
JCC adult leagues forming
The Jay Community Center has leagues forming for men’s 5-on-5 basketball and co-ed volleyball.
The registration deadline for basketball is Nov. 27. Cost is $150 per team, and players must be at least a freshman in high school.
Games will be played Sunday afternoons from Dec. 6 through Jan. 17.
Volleyball registration ends Dec. 13, and cost is $150 per team as well. Players must be 14 years of age and older.
Games will be played Wednesdays from Dec. 30 through Jan. 27.

Challenge ends Nov. 28
The Adams County Run/Walk Challenge concludes with Nov. 28.
The final race is the Rainbow Lake 5K. The race will begin at 10 a.m. Nov. 28 at Limberlost Cabin in Geneva.
