FCC tops permit list
Jay/Portland Building and Planning permits
FCC Indiana’s expansion project was the most expensive one in the Jay/Portland Building and Planning office’s August and September permits.
Permits for the two months totaled $10,926,300.
FCC was issued a permit for a $7.55 million expansion at 555 Industrial Drive.
Permits of more than $200,000 were also issued for confined feeding operation constructions. William Mason Evers was issued a permit for two duck confined feeding buildings totaling $1 million on county road 800 South between county roads 400 East and 500 East, Portland. Jim Schoenlein received a permit for a $260,000 steer barn/confined feeding at 1626 N. 300 West, Portland. Drew Beiswanger and DNA Family Farms were issued a permit for a $550,000 swine confined feeding building 805 S. 825 West, Portland.
Helena Chemical Company was also issued a permit for a $230,000 office building at 8774 W. 500 North, Pennville.
