Narcotic possession
Harley H. Golder, 20, Portland, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 180 days suspended, given 180 days credit for 90 days served, assessed court costs of $183, ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200 and a substance abuse program fee of $400 and placed on formal probation for six months. As part of a plea agreement, charges of possession of paraphernalia and resisting law enforcement were dismissed.
Golder also pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 138 days in Jay County Jail, given 138 days credit for 69 days served, assessed court costs of $183 and ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200.
Controlled substance
Coty R. Bragg, 25, Decatur, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to possession of a controlled substance, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 120 days suspended, given 32 days credit for 16 days served, with the remaining 88 days to be served on electronically monitored home detention, assessed court costs of $183 and ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200 and a substance abuse program fee of $400.
Fraud
Amber R. LeMaster, 27, Portland, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to fraud, a Level 6 felony. She was sentenced to six months in Jay County Jail, given 54 days credit for 27 days served and assessed court costs of $183. As part of a plea agreement, a charge of attempted fraud was dismissed.

Dawn D. Golder, 43, Portland, pleaded guilty in Jay Circuit Court to dealing in methamphetamine, a Class B felony. She was sentenced to 14 years in the Indiana Department of Correction, with all but eight years suspended, given credit for time served from March 27 to Sept. 28, assessed court costs of $183, ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200 and placed on formal probation for six years.
Probation violation
Connor Hull, Dunkirk, violated the conditions of his probation imposed Feb. 7, 2013, after he was convicted of dealing in a Schedule III controlled substance, a Class B felony. He will serve an additional five years of his original sentence in the Indiana Department of Correction and was given credit for time served between Sept. 3 and Sept. 25.

Kyle R. Witt, 30, address unavailable, pleaded guilty in Jay Circuit Court to carrying a handgun without a license, a Level 5 felony. He was sentenced to three years in the Indiana Department of Correction, given credit for time served between April 9 and Sept. 23 and assessed court costs of $183. As part of a plea agreement, charges of possession of an altered handgun, a Level 5 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Level 6 felony.

Michael Irelan, Portland, pleaded guilty in Jay Circuit Court to dealing in a narcotic drug, a Class B felony. He was sentenced to 10 years in the Indiana Department of Correction, given credit for time served between June 16 and Sept. 21, assessed court costs of $183 and ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200.
Probation violation
Courtney Jo Snyder-Merry violated the conditions of her probation imposed after she was convicted of unlawful possession of a syringe, enhanced to a Class C felony. She will serve the remaining three years of her original sentence in the Indiana Department of Correction and was given credit for time served between Sept. 11 and 22.
Theft
Kyle C. Hunt, 28, Dunkirk, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to theft, enhanced to a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 120 days suspended, given 120 days credit for 60 days served, assessed court costs of $183 and placed on formal probation for eight months.
This violated the conditions of Hunt’s probation imposed March 12 after he pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated, enhanced to a Class D felony. He was sentenced to serve an addition 120 days of his original 18-month sentence and given 116 days credit for 58 days served.
