Dealing heroin
A Portland husband and wife were arrested Thursday for allegedly dealing heroin.
The Drug Task Force arrested David M. Hunt, 740 Katelynn Place, and Jennifer N. Hunt, 660 Katelynn Place, at Katelynn Place on warrants issued Wednesday.
The Drug Task Force allegedly purchased heroin from the Hunts during a 2013 investigation. At that time, the couple lived at 512 Lincoln Avenue, Lot 1, Dunkirk.
Jennifer Hunt was arrested on a Jay Circuit Court bench warrant for three counts of dealing in a narcotic drug (heroin), all Class B felonies, and on a Circuit Court bench warrant for conspiracy to commit dealing in a narcotic drug, also a Class B felony.
She was booked into Jay County Jail at 11:30 a.m. and remains there under a $50,000 bond.
David Hunt was arrested on Jay Circuit Court bench warrants for two counts of aiding, inducing or causing dealing in a narcotic drug and dealing in a narcotic drug, all Class B felonies, as well as maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony.
He was booked into Jay County Jail at 11:44 a.m. and also remains there under a $50,000 bond.
