Backed into
Two Portland drivers were involved in an accident Friday morning on Industrial Drive near Meridian Street.
Kayla M. Sager, 22, 322 E. Water St., was stopped on Industrial Drive and backed up her 1999 Dodge Durango to give a semi more room to turn.
The back of her vehicle struck the front of a 2011 Kia Soul driven by Tina J. Cavanaugh, 49, 651 W. Third St.
The Durango is registered to Michael A. Sager, same address.
Damage in the 6:56 a.m. accident was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.

Intersection accident
A Portland man’s car hit another Portland driver’s vehicle Friday morning on High Street in Portland.
Jerry D. Coats, 53, 1289 W. 450 South, was driving west on E. High Street when his car was hit by 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by Steven M. Strohl, 22, 1215 S. Bridge St.
Strohl was going south on Harrison Street and said he stopped for the stop sign and didn’t see any vehicles. When he began to enter the intersection he hit Coats’ 1994 Ford F150.
Strohl was cited for failure to yield.
Damage in the 11:35 a.m. accident was estimated less than $1,000.
