FORT RECOVERY — Fort Recovery High School will be in need of a new principal after Jeff Hobbs announced today that he will be leaving the post to become superintendent at Fairlawn Local Schools in rural Sidney, Ohio.
His hiring at Fairlawn is expected to be approved at a special school board meeting tonight. He accepted the job this weekend.
Hobbs has served as principal at FRHS since 2009, when he replaced the outgoing Dave Warvel. He was twice a finalist for the superintendent job in Fort Recovery, both when Shelly Vaughn was hired in 2012 and when Justin Firks was brought in last summer.
