Couple celebrates 50th
Harold and Margaret Gallets, 507 E. Arch St., Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Jay County Public Library Community Room. They will also renew their vows in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Harold married Margaret Price on April 15, 1966, in Redkey.
They are the parents of David Lothridge Sr., Nebraska, Deborah Denney (husband: Charles), Portland, Jim Lothridge, Union City, Steven Lothridge Sr., Portland, Peggy Thomas, Muncie, Patrica Baker (husband: James), Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Tina Twigg (husband: Paul), Portland, Maxine Gallets, Portland, and Jennifer Gallets, Muncie. Two children are deceased.
They also have 28 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
