Probation violation
James C. Drayton, Jr., 22, Dunkirk, violated the terms of his probation originally imposed Dec. 29, 2015 after a conviction of possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to an additional 60 days of his one year sentence to be served consecutive to a sentence of driving while suspended, given 26 days credit for 13 days served, and ordered to serve the remaining 34 days of his sentence in Jay County Jail, which began April 18 and receive day for day credit.
He was also found guilty of driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to 60 days in Jay County Jail to be served consecutive to the sentence imposed in a conviction for possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, given 60 days credit for 30 days served and assessed court costs of $183.50. The Court recommends the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles suspend his license for 90 days.

Possession
John T. Mangus, 43, Redkey, was found guilty of possession of marijuana, enhanced to a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to eight months in Jay County Jail, given two days credit for one day served, ordered to serve the remaining eight months less two days of his sentence and receive day for day credit based on the outcome of pending case out of Delaware Circuit Court for the charge of rape, a Level 3 felony, fined $1, assessed court costs, ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200. As part of the plea agreement, the charge of public intoxication was dismissed.

Forgery
Korie S. Wimmer, 28, Portland, was found guilty of forgery, a Level 6 felony. She was sentenced to 270 days in jay County Jail to be served consecutive to the sentence imposed in a Blackford Superior Court conviction of theft, a Class D felony, given 136 days credit for 68 days served, ordered to serve the remaining 134 days of her sentence, which began April 14 and receive day for day credit and assessed court costs of $183.

Battery
Kaitlyn A. Smith, 21, Portland, was found guilty of domestic battery, a Level 6 felony. She was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail to be served consecutive to the sentenced imposed in a conviction of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, with all but 205 days suspended, given 205 days credit for 212 days less than seven day loss — for jail rule violation — for the 106 days already served, fined $100, assessed court costs of $183, ordered to pay a domestic violence prevention and treatment fee of $50, attend the Thinking For Good program at $150, and placed on formal probation for five months.
She also violated the terms of her probation originally imposed July 23 for a conviction of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor. She was sentenced to serve an additional 58 days of the 60-day sentence and given 58 days credit for 29 days served.
