Public Notice TOWN OF REDKEY Jay County, Indiana 2016 Wastewater Collection System Improvements ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town or Redkey, 2016 Wastewater Collection System will be received by the Town of Redkey, at the Town Hall located at 8922 West State Road 67, PO BOX 21, Redkey, Indiana 47373, until 3:30 p.m. local time on May 19th, 2016. Bids shall be opened at the Town Council meeting held at the Redkey Park Cabin, located at 200 S. Mooney Street, at 6:00 p.m, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing improvements to the Wastewater Collection System and include: Removing and replacing 565 linear feet of sanitary sewer PVC pipe of varying diameters, installing 3,262 linear feet of 8” sanitary sewer PVC pipe, installing 361 linear feet of 12” sanitary sewer PVC pipe, installing 355 linear feet of 12” sanitary sewer ductile iron pipe, removing and replacing 800 linear feet of storm sewer pipe of varying diameters, installing 2,900 linear feet of 12” storm sewer pipe, installing 832 linear feet of 15” storm sewer pipe, installing 506 linear feet of 18” storm sewer pipe, new sanitary sewer manholes, new storm sewer manholes, cast-in-place piping of 25,745 linear feet of sanitary sewer of varying diameters, installing new 6” sanitary sewer laterals, hot-mixed asphalt pavement patches, driving restoration, and surface restoration. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Mooney Street, Redkey, IN 47373. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms included in the Specifications. The bid documents shall include all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2013) included with the Specifications. Under Section III of Form 96, the Bidder shall submit a financial statement. A copy of the proposed Financial Statement to be submitted with the bid is included in the bid documents section to these specifications. The Owner may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work and the Bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. The Town of Redkey reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the Town.
