Freeman to speak today at museum

The public is invited to a meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at the Jay County Historical Musuem with Ron Freeman of Jay Petroleum as the guest speaker.
Freeman will talk about the price of gasoline and gas station memoriabilia will be on display.
Visitors are also invited to bring their own gas station memorabilia.
The museum is located at 903 E. Main St. in Portland.

Madison alumni
Reservations are due by Friday for the Madison High School Alumni Banquet to be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
The event will be held at the Portland Lions Civic Center, 307 E. 100 North, Portland, which is a change in location.
The cost is $18 and reservations may be sent to Dennis Theurer, 16200 Carey Road, Westfield, IN 46074. Please include the names of all guests that will be attending and if any special arrangements need to be made.

Three Jay County High School graduates have been accepted into Alpha Lambda Delta national freshman academic honor society at Ball State University.
Heather Lugar, Emily Westgerdes and Jessica Kerrigan will be inducted into the society during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center.
