Public Notice City of Portland, Indiana 2016 Paving Bid This bid will be for Milling and resurfacing of the following streets: 1. Main St from Morton to Meridian • Surface area is approximately 10998 sq. yd. • 700 sq. yd. patch at a depth of 3” on south side of street between Hayes St. and Garfield St. area is approximately 7’ from south curb and 900’ long • Mill surface 1 ½” • Overlay surface 1 ½” • Replace signal loops • Restripe all parking lines and stop bars etc. • All millings shall be hauled away 2. Alley west of Alexander between Votaw and North St. • Surface area is approximately 527 sq. yd. • Mill surface 4” • 2 ½” Intermediate asphalt • 1 ½” Surface asphalt 3. Williams St from High to Votaw St. • Surface area is approximately 2589 sq. yd. • Mill surface 1 ½” • 1 ½” Surface asphalt 4. Alexander from Main to Walnut St • Surface area is approximately 617 sq. yd. • Mill surface 1 ½” • 1 ½” Surface asphalt 5. Western from Water to Votaw St • Surface area is approximately 5358 sq. yd. • Mill surface 1 ½” • 1 ½” Surface asphalt 6. Middle from Water to Blaine Pk. • Surface area is approximately 1711 sq. yd. • Mill surface 1 ½” • 1 ½” Surface asphalt 7. 2nd from Western to Middle • Surface area is approximately 1351 sq. yd. • 2 ” Intermediate asphalt • 1 ½” Surface asphalt • Mill butt joints only 8. Arch from Middle to West side of Williams • Surface area is approximately 3208 sq. yd. • Mill surface 1 ½” • 1 ½” Surface asphalt The following items must be included in bid: 1. All millings must be hauled away 2. All prep work and clean up 3. A unit price for patching under 100 ton and over 100 ton All sealed bids are due no later than 8/31/16 @ 4:30 pm to City Hall, 321 North Meridian Street, Portland, IN 47371. Bids will be opened September 1st @ 10:00 am. A Bid Bond is needed and bids need to be broken down by street, NOT a lump sum bid. City reserves the right to omit streets from the paving project.
