                      Roswitha Wylie, 58, Winchester, Kentucky, died Thursday at her home. She was a former Jay County resident.
Born in Regensburg, Germany, to Charles and Gertrude Kauffman, she attended Jay County High School with the class of 1976 and graduated from PJ’s Beauty School of Cosmetology.
She had worked at Jay Garment Company, Standard Brush and Broom and Fiesta Salon while living in Portland and was a past member of the Moose Lodge.
Her husband James Wylie, whom she married on Oct. 8, 1999, survives.
Before becoming ill in 2013, she was a supervisor at Catalent Pharmaceutical Solutions and was preparing to graduate with a degree in nursing.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her mother, Gertrude Kauffman; two sons, Christopher Harding, Orlando, Florida, and Jason Harding, Winchester, Kentucky; two daughters, Amy McIntire, Muncie, and Ashley Corwin, Portland; a sister, Christine Tarnecy, Portland; four brothers, Roger Kauffman, Indianapolis, Richard Kauffman, Selma, Jeremy Kauffman, Murphysboro, Illinois, and Charles Vasquez, Albany; and 13 grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Dunkirk Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
