Swiss Village to host singers
Taking Note
The Village Singers, comprised of 34 residents of Swiss Village, will perform at 3 p.m. Friday at Swiss Village in Berne.
“A Christmas Celebration at the Village” will feature a variety of Christmas music, a trumpet solo, harmonica solo and trio performance.

To speak in January
Chad Von Gunten, a four-time competitor in the Ironman competition and former Village Meltdown participant, will present “Triathlon 101” at 6 p.m. on Jan. 4 at the Arthur &?Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion at Swiss Village in Berne.
Von Gunten, who placed 565th out of 2,247 athlethes in the Ironman competition in Florida in November, will share his journey and teach how to train for a triathlon for anyone interested in joining this year’s Village Meltdown.
Registration, partner photos and initial weigh-in for the Meltdown begins on Jan. 9. For more information, call (260) 589-4496. The pavilion is located at 1201 Emmental Drive in Berne.

Alison Betts, a graduate of Jay County High School, was named to the dean’s list at Palm Beach State College in Florida.
