Deer accident
A Hartford City man struck a deer with his Dodge early this morning in Knox Township.
Rodney Crouse, 55, 301 E. Fairlane Drive, was westbound on Indiana 26, near the intersection of county road 1000 West, when a deer traveling north entered the roadway.
Crouse was unable to avoid striking the deer with his 2012 Dodge Charger. The deer collided with the Dodge’s front bumper and driver’s side door.
Damage in the 1:29 a.m. accident is estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
