Felony arrests
Battery
A Portland man was arrested Sunday morning on a charge of battery.
Ryan L. Mikel, 41, 611 W. Main St., Portland was arrested for battery, a Level 5 felony.
He was booked at 7:54 a.m. to Jay County Jail and is being held there on a $10,000 bond.
Parole violation
A Redkey man was arrested Sunday for violating his parole.
Richard D. Hall, 30, 10544 W. 800 South, Redkey, was arrested for violating his parole on a Department of Corrections Inmate statute.
His original charges were two Class D felonies, possession of a syringe and possession of heroin.
He was booked at 2:26 a.m. to Jay County Jail and is being held there with no bond.
