Public Notice Public Notice Notice To Taxpayers Of Additional Appropriation Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of the City of Portland, Jay County, Indiana that the proper legal officers of the City of Portland at their meeting place at the City of Portland Council Chambers, 1616 North Franklin Street, Portland, Indiana 47371, on March 7, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. will consider the following additional appropriation in excess of the budget for the current year. Fund Name: Pool Construction 207-001-474 Pool Construction $105,865.00 Fund Name: Economic Development Income Tax 205-001-473 EDIT Capital Improvements $50,000.00 Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard. The additional appropriations as finally made will be referred to the Department of Local Government Finance. The DLGF will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support the appropriations made within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a Certified copy of action taken.
