Felony arrests
Forgery charge
Two Columbus, Ohio, men remain in the Mercer County Jail facing Felony 5 charges of forgery.
Luke Beveridge, 37, and Jacob Patterson, 31, were arrested by Fort Recovery police Jan. 15 after allegedly attempting to cash fraudulent checks at the Fort Recovery branch of Second National Bank.
Mercer County sheriff’s deputies and St. Henry police assisted with the arrest.
Bank employees had reportedly been warned by another bank branch that the men had cashed fraudulent checks.
No bond has been set.
