Tim Long announced tonight that he will retire as superintendent of Jay School Corporation.
Long informed Jay School Board of his decision during an executive session tonight following the board’s regular meeting. He then confirmed his retirement to The Commercial Review. He has held the job for nearly a decade, and his retirement will be effective no later than mid-September.
The Mount Vernon Community School Corporation Board also approved Long tonight for a new position as its director of operations. He said he will oversee facilities and transportation.
