Red Cross to hold area blood drives

The American Red Cross will hold blood drives in the area in response to a critical blood shortage.
Drives will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 8 at Bryant Wesleyan Church, 209 S. Hendricks St., and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St. in Portland.
Another will be from 1 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Farmland Friends Church, 8311 W. Indiana 32.
Blood drives in Muncie will be held from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Glad Tidings Church, 3001 S. Burlington Drive, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 23, 25 and 26 at Pruis Hall on McKinley Ave. at Ball State University.
