McDonald’s crash
A Portland woman drove an Oldsmobile into a parked vehicle Tuesday evening in the McDonald’s parking lot, 618 N. Meridian St., Portland.
Haley C. Blackburn, 18, 939 Boundary Pike, told Portland police she was turning into a parking spot at McDonald’s when the 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme she was driving struck a parked 2006 Chevrolet Equinox.
Blackburn said she got scared after striking the Chevrolet and left the scene. She then called her mother, who instructed her to return.
The Chevrolet is registered to James A. Wasson, 1437 S. 825 West, Portland. The Oldsmobile is registered to Katherine C. Reynolds, same address as driver.
Damage in the 5:04 p.m. accident is estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
Backing accident
A Portland woman backed her 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier into a van Tuesday afternoon in Portland.
Sheila E. Kreig, 53, 1011 W. North St., told Portland police she was backing out of a parking space at 1101 W. Votaw St. when her vehicle struck the driver’s side of a 2002 Chrysler Town and County.
Tammy L. Lindsay, 52, Farmland, was driving the Chrysler and said she was heading east in the parking lot when the van was hit.
Damage in the 4:38 p.m. accident is estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
