Allens celebrating 50 years
Gerry and Margaret Allen, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
Gerry married Margaret Jones on July 29, 1966, at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Dunkirk.
Margaret retired from Delta Middle School after teaching science for 37 years. Gerry worked as a small engine mechanic at HiWay 3 Hardware in Muncie and retired from the maintenance department at Jay County Hospital.
The couple has a son, Chuck Allen (wife: Lisa), two grandchildren and three bonus grandchildren.
They plan to celebrate with family.
