Fort scholarships are given to seniors

The Fort Recovery Education Association recently awarded $1,100 in scholarships to three Fort Recovery high school seniors.
Chase Bruns, the son of Joe and Denise Bruns, Emily Alig, the daughter of Barb and Randy Alig, and Wes Wenning, the son of Ben and Laura Wenning.

Graduates
Morgan Link, Portland, recently graduated cum laude from the University of Findlay (Ohio) with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.

Library news
Jay County Public Library will have its bookmobile at Bryant Wesleyan Church from 9 to 11 a.m. and Salamonia Church from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday.
It will also be at those locations each Thursday in June; at Portland Water Park from noon to 2 p.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Schwanda’s Greenhouse each Monday in June; and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Redkey Elementary and 2 to 4 p.m. at Hudson Family Park each Wednesday in June.
Tracy Huelskamp recently became a member of JCPL Board of Trustees. The other board member is Carolyn Journay and officers are Joel Roberts, president, Hannah Hughes, vice-president, Dolphus Stephens, secretary, Holly Weaver, treasurer, and Darrell Borders, assistant treasurer.

Dean’s list
James Bracy, Portland, was named to the spring semester residential program dean’s list at Ohio Christian University in Circleville, Ohio.
The following students were named to the spring dean’s list at Trine University in Angola.
Kevin Minnich, Portland, a senior majoring in management; Chelsea Moore, Geneva, a senior majoring in Exercise Science-PT interest; and Collin Saxman, Portland, a junior biology major.
