Correction
An item in Monday’s edition of The Commercial Review about a felony arrest included incorrect information.
Leah N. Ross was arrested for unlawful possession of a legend substance/drug, not unlawful possession of a syringe.

Horse stomp
A Portland man was injured Saturday after being thrown off his horse, which then stomped on his chest.
Andrew Frasher, 45, was injured while riding his horse in Brown County State Park, according to Indiana Department of Natural Resources. An air ambulance flew him to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to treat him for pain to the abdomen and chest pain.
State conservation officers assisted Brown County sheriff’s deputies and Nashville police at the scene.

Sideswipe

A Redkey man’s truck struck another vehicle Monday morning near the intersection of Pleasant and Votaw streets.
Karla R. Reier, 7855, E. 300 North, Portland, told a Portland police officer she was parked on Pleasant Street and when she came out there was damage to the driver’s side of her 2014 Nissan Rogue.
Chad H. Alsip, 43, 233 Oak St., told a Portland police officer he was driving south on Pleasant Street and hit the side of the Rogue with his 2004 Ford truck.
Alsip was cited for driving without insurance.
Damage in the 11:50 a.m. collision is estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.

Deer accident
An Ohio woman hit a deer Monday evening with the truck she was driving in Madison Township.
Roseanna M. Muth, 58, 13446 Ohio 49, New Weston, Ohio, told Jay County Sheriff’s Office she was traveling east on county road 900 South near county road 600 east when a deer ran onto the roadway. She hit the animal with the 2003 Ford F-250 she was driving.
Damage in the 10:40 p.m. crash is estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
