Davidson leads Wasps to two wins

PENNVILLE — The Wasps’ dominance continued on Saturday.
Sam Davidson totaled 15 goals, helping the Wasps to two more victories in the Stinger division during the final week of play in the Pennville Soccer League.
The Wasps defeated the Hornets 13-2, then knocked off the Bees 17-0 to move to 5-1 on the year.
Davidson had 10 goals against the Hornets and added five against the Bees. Alexander Gaskill provided three goals against the Hornets, and tallied four more against the Bees. Camden Vinson found the back of the net seven times against the Bees, and Noah Wentz also added one goal.
Max McClain III scored the only two goals for the Hornets (3-2).
McClain then tallied 11 goals as the Hornets defeated the Bees 13-4. Wiley Simos provided two goals in support of McClain. Olivia Ehrhart scored three goals for the Bees (0-6), who also got one goal from Thia Gipson.
Galaxy win two
PENNVILLE — The Galaxy moved to 5-1 on the season with a pair of wins in the Space division of Pennville Soccer League.
They defeated the Asteroids 5-2 before completing the two-game sweep with a 4-1 victory over the Comets.
Jocelyn Minch led the Galaxy with a hat trick against the Asteroids. Ben Davidson and Addison Gaskill chipped in with one goal apiece.
Against the Comets, Davidson tallied a hat trick and Minch scored once.
David Keen recorded two goals for the Asteroids (0-6), and Maddox Huffman tallied one goal for the Comets (3-2).
Huffman led the Comets to an 8-1 victory against the Asteroids. He scored seven times, and Cameron Marshall found the back of the net once.
Keen scored the lone goal for the Asteroids.
Tigers sweep weekend
PENNVILLE — The Tigers picked up two more victories on Saturday in the Wildcat division of Pennville Soccer League.
They edged the Jaguars 5-4 in the first game, and beat the Lions by the same score
Ian Ruiz scored all five goals for the Tigers (5-1) against the Jaguars (3-2). Brendon Runyon recorded a hat trick for the Jaguars, and Gabe Pinkerton scored once.
Ruiz followed with a four-goal performance against the Lions, and Chloe Ruiz tallied the other goal. Alizabeth Stotler scored three times for the Lions, who got one goal from Kyler Witt.
Runyon scored five goals for the Jaguars in an 11-10 victory over the Lions (0-6). Pinkerton recorded four goals and Minch tallied two.
Stotler paced the Lions with seven goals, Madison Springer scored twice and Witt added one goal.
