Public Notice NOTICE TO BIDDERS City of Portland, Indiana Owner: Community and Family Services, Inc. Project/Work: Removal of Unsafe Structure(s) in the City of Portland Notice is hereby given that City of Portland will receive sealed bids for the above described "Project/Work" at City Hall, 321 North Meridian Street, Portland, Indiana, on or before 11:00 a.m. on July 15, 2016. Such bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by Board of Works at Council Chambers, 1616 North Franklin Street, Portland, Indiana 47371 on July 15, 2016, at 12:00 noon. No late bids will be accepted. All vendors must be licensed to perform demolition work in Jay County, Indiana. A Bid Bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each Bid. A one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond will also be required of the successful Bidder. The Work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Removal of unsafe structure(s) in the City of Portland, Indiana Contract Documents for the Project/Work have been assembled into one or more bound Project Manuals containing Technical Specifications which, may be examined at the following locations: City Hall, 321 North Meridian Street, Portland, IN 47371 This work will be funded by the City of Portland, Jay County, Indiana. The participation goal for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) for this contract is (List Minority Business Requirements if appropriate) A pre-bid conference for discussion of the Work, the bidding requirements will be held on July 5, 216 at 10 a.m. at Council Chambers, 1616 North Franklin Street, Portland, IN 47371. All prospective Bidders are strongly urged to attend the pre-bid conference.
