WJ wrestlers fall to Raiders, Warriors

DUNKIRK — The Eagles hosted an Allen County Athletic Conference triple dual on Monday.
They came out on the losing end of both of their matches.
A short-handed West Jay Middle School wrestling team dropped contests to the Southern Wells Raiders and the Woodlan Warriors.
The Eagles lost to Southern Wells 39-0 before a 28-12 defeat to Woodlan.
Carter Mitchell, a 102-pounder, defeated Austin Saylor of Woodlan by a third-period pin, and Sean Ashley pinned Jacob Roemer in the first period of their 125-pound match.
Tre Bishop defeated Southern Wells’ Mason Taylor by an 8-4 decision in their heavyweight exhibition match, and Sean Ashley pinned William Fiechter in the first period of their 125-pound exhibition.
