Local notes
Boomer registration now open
Registration is now open for Boomer soccer and spring flag football.
Both sports are open to girls and boys ages 3 through 14 as of April 1.
Cost for either sport is $35 before March 1, after which the price increases to $45, and a shirt is included.
Deadline to register is Sunday.

Last chance for PJL registration
There will be one more chance to register for the Portland Junior League baseball and softball seasons.
Registration will take place from 9 a.m. to noon today at Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St., Portland.
Portland Junior League is open to boys and girls ages 5 through 15 who live in Jay County and surrounding areas.
