Jay School Corporation is not expected to close any buildings for the 2016-17 school year.
Jay Schools superintendent Tim Long told Jay School Board at its meeting Monday that he does not envision any changes to the corporation’s building use during the next school year. He noted that proposals that have been floated previously, including closing one or more elementary schools moving eighth grade students to the high school and moving sixth and seventh graders to East Jay Middle School, would likely require a full year to implement.
