Officers are elected for Jay County FFA

The Jay County FFA recently elected officers for the 2016-2017 school year.
Historian multi-media is Kayla Dirksen; historian traditional is Klarisa Hemmelgarn; student advisor is Gerard Muhlenkamp; parliamentarian is Sarah Schwieterman; chaplain is Dillon Muhlenkamp; sentinel is Nathan Hamilton; co-reporters are Katie Lyons and Erika Kunkler; co-treasurers are Deanna Chenoweth and Emily Reier; co-secretaries are Jennifer Walter and Elizabeth Muhlenkamp; co-vice presidents are Abby Muhlenkamp and Ashley Braun; and president is Ashley Alig.
Kindergarten round-up
The Jay School Corporation will have kindergarten round-up for the 2016-2017 school year.
General Shanks and Redkey Elementary will be Tuesday, March 29; Pennville, Westlawn and Bloomfield elementaries will be Wednesday, March 30; Judge Haynes and East Elementary will be Thursday, March 31. Round-ups will begin at 8:30 a.m. at each school.
To register, children must be five years old on or before Aug. 1. Children and parents should attend and a certified birth certificate and immunization record are required. To pre-register or for more information, call (260) 726-9341.
Free mammograms
Free mammograms are available to low income women at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. Call (260) 724-2145 ext. 1507 for more information.
