Public Notice CITY OF PORTLAND ZONING ADMINISTRATION BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT: David & Jan Rigby, has filed with the City of Portland Board of Zoning Appeals a petition, # VAR2016-03-18, requesting a Variance to the zoning regulations, to wit: Parcel ID: 38-07-21-303-061.000-034 Location: 225 E Sixth St, Portland, Indiana, Wayne Township, Section 21 Action Requested: The construction of a new, larger garage located where the existing garage currently is located on the property. The garage roof overhang will be approximately l' from the West property line. The property is zoned R8 - Medium Density Residential, and according to the City of Portland Zoning Ordinance, Section 3.10, the side yard setback for this property is 5' from property lines, requiring a Variance of 4' from the west property line. A public hearing will be held by said Board of Zoning Appeals on April 12, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. at the Community Resource Building, 118 S Meridian Street, Portland, Indiana.
