FRHS drops two
Indians stumble against Arcanum
FORT RECOVERY — The Indians had a rough start under new coach Jeff Vaughn.
Fort Recovery High School’s softball team was at the wrong end of two lopsided scores Saturday, dropping both games of a doubleheader with the Arcanum Trojans.
The Indians lost the opener 31-2, then dropped the second game 16-3.
Devin Post, Chelsea Timmerman and Tori Vaughn each had hits for the Indians (0-2).
Timmerman took the loss.
Post led the Indians again in the second game, driving in two runs on a 1-for-3 effort from the plate. Kasey Vogel ripped a double to finish with two hits. Logan Ranly had two hits and an RBI, and Metzger also tallied a pair of singles.
Freshman Hannah Knapke notched her first career hit.
Post took the loss in the circle for Fort Recovery, which hosts Russia at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
