Public Notice JAY COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT: Cameron & Mike Kunkle, 7395 E 400 S, Portland, Indiana, have filed with the Jay County Board of Zoning Appeals a petition, # VAR2016-04-20, requesting a Variance to the zoning regulations, to wit: Location: 4424 S 750 E, Portland, Indianna, between CR 400 S & CR 500 S, on the West side, Madison Township, Section 10 Parcel ID: 38-12-10-500-007.001-026 Action Requested: The construction of one (1) additional 2,000 head swine confined feeding building that will be located 600' from the nearest residence. Section 216.2 of the Jay County Zoning Ordinance states all confined feeding buildings must be a minimum of 750' from any residence, thus requiring a variance of 150'. A public hearing will be held by said Board of Zoning Appeals on May 19, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. in the Community Resource Center, 118 S Meridian Street, Portland, Indiana. The petition and file on this matter are available for public inspection at the Jay/Portland Building & Planning Department, 118 South Meridian Street, Portland, Indiana, 47371. If unable to attend the hearing, any statement setting forth any facts or opinions relating to the matter must be presented in writing to the Jay/Portland Building & Planning Department not less than ten (10) days before the hearing.
