Lee and Charlene Whitenack celebrate 65th anniversary

Lee and Charlene Whitenack, lifetime Jay and Randolph county residents, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 200 S. Portland St., Ridgeville.
Lee married Charlene Sommer on May 19, 1951, at Deerfield Church with John Wine officiating.
Charlene had worked at Randolph County Hospital and Lee retired from Portland Forge.
They are the parents of five children, Les Whitenack (wife: Linda), Rosalyn Landess, Jeff Whitenack (wife: Melanie), Doug Whitenack (wife: Barb) and Connie Snyder (husband: Bruce). They also have many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The couple asks that gifts be omitted and instead bring a can of food for the food pantry.
