FORT RECOVERY — Will Homan is inching closer to becoming one of the best running backs in school history.
He was named one of the best players in the conference this morning.
Homan, a Fort Recovery High School junior, was named first team All-Midwest Athletic Conference on both sides of the football.
Homan, who led the conference with 124.1 rushing yards per game through nine weeks, was named one of three all-conference running backs. He has 1,133 yards and 13 touchdowns on 186 carries, and is 169 yards shy of setting the school’s career rushing record. Homan was also named to the first team defense as a safety.
Andrew Stocker, also a junior, was given first-team nod as a defensive tackle. Stocker is fourth on the team with 55 tackles, but leads the team in tackles for loss (nine) and sacks (four). He is three sacks away from tying 2016 graduate Adam LeFevre’s career record of 19.5 career.
Center Chris Link was the lone Tribe representative on the all-MAC second team offense.
Max Klingshirn, Kyle Knapke, Caleb Martin, Nate Ontrop, Jason Roessner and Ethan Schoen were given honorable mention.
