Open houses to begin
Taking Note
The first open house of the season will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Jay County Historical Museum, as part of Winterfest activities.
The museum will be included on the Holiday Home Tour and will be open from noon until 5 p.m., with 20 decorated trees on display.
Other open houses will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 26 and Dec. 17.
The third annual Museum Candlelight Tour will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 3 with the Thein Snipps performing and Family Day will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11.
Family Day will include a visit from Santa, craft activities, a scavenger hunt and refreshments.
Fort book fair
Friends of the Library will have a Scholastic Book Fair from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fort Recovery Public Library during the Fort Recovery Community Christmas Open House.
Also Friends are sponsoring the Fort Festival of Trees Display in December.
Families, local organizations, businesses, and individuals are invited to participate in this event by entering a decorated tree or wreath.
