East Jay seventh graders defeat Adams Central

MONROE — The East Jay Middle School seventh grade boys basketball team moved to 2-0 Tuesday with a 37-21 victory over host Adams Central.
The eighth graders also won, 34-22.
Ethan Dirksen led the EJMS seventh graders with nine points, and Crosby Heniser pitched in with seven.
Landon Grimes paced the eighth grade Chiefs (1-1) with a game-high 14 points. Bailey Cox added nine points.
Both teams moved to 1-0 in Allen County Athletic Conference play.?East Jay hosts Winchester Driver on Nov. 28.
Chiefs, Crusaders split
OSSIAN — Gavin Muhlenkamp totaled 20 points Monday in helping the East Jay seventh grade boys basketball team to a season-opening victory over Norwell, 43-34.
East Jay’s eighth graders fell to the Crusaders, 56-26.
Ethan Dirksen tallied seven points in support of Muhlenkamp, as the Chiefs (1-0) led by as many as 14 points and never trailed Norwell.
For the EJMS eighth graders, Bailey Cox and Landon Grimes totaled 10 points apiece.
Faulkner shines again
DUNKIRK — Quinn Faulkner reached double figures for the second consecutive game Tuesday, but the West Jay seventh grade boys basketball team lost to the South Adams Starfires, 25-19.
South Adams also won the eighth grade contest, 54-21.
Faulkner tallied 16 points to follow up his 23-point effort on Monday. Trenton Alexander had two points for the Eagle seventh graders (1-1, 0-1 Allen County Athletic Conference).
Hunter Shumaker led the WJMS eighth graders with six points. Lewis Crump and Faulkner had five points each.
Harrison followed with three points, and Frankie Crump tallied two points.
