FORT LORAMIE, Ohio — The Tribe is back in the win column.
Fort Recovery High School’s volleyball team snapped a four-match losing streak Saturday with a 25-23, 25-16, 24-26, 27-25 victory over the Fort Loramie Redskins.
Paige Jutte had a career-high 15 kills in leading the Indians (11-6). Carley Stone was second on the team with 13 kills, while also adding 16 digs and three aces.
Alexis Bubp chipped in with 19 digs while going 13-for-13 from the service line. Kiah Wendel was a flawless 20-for-20 from the service stripe and added 16 digs. Cassidy Martin tallied seven kills, three digs and three aces and Brooke Gaerke recorded three blocks.
Madi Rammel notched 35 assists.
Fort Recovery’s junior varsity team also won, 20-25, 25-23, 29-27.
Olivia Patch had a team-high 11 kills, and Hannah Knapke had seven kills and 12 digs. Brooke Kahlig led the squad with 21 digs.

SA 1-2 at tourney
CONVOY, Ohio — The South Adams volleyball team went 1-2 on Saturday in the Crestview Invitational.
The Starfires (19-7) lost to Division IV No. 3 McComb (25-13, 25-21) before defeating Edison (23-25, 27-25, 25-17). South Adams then lost to Celina 25-22, 25-19. Junior Madi Wurster led the team with 41 kills while also adding 15 digs. Addie Wanner was second on the team with 20 kills, and Morgan Alberson followed with 13 kills. Caralie Farlow had a team-high 35 digs to go with her 11 kills, Alberson totalied 25 digs and Shania Neal added 23 digs.
Julia Grabau recorded 82 assists, including 38 against Edison.

Tribe tops Bradford
BRADFORD, Ohio — Fort Recovery Middle School’s eighth grade volleyball team moved to 13-1 with a 25-10, 25-23 victory over the Bradford Railroaders.
Brenna Homan had eight aces on her way to 20 service points. Kendra Dues followed with four aces and six points, with Hope Wendel adding two points and four aces to go with her team-high four kills.
Kierra Wendel, Paige Fortkamp and Maria Hartings each added three kills, with Ava Bubp chipping in with seven assists.
