Judith Ann “Judy” Arrington, 74, Ridgeville, died Monday.
Born in Muncie to Harold and Dorothy (Bowers) Stanford, she graduated from Muncie Central High School and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Ball State Teachers College.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Arrington, whom she married on June 24, 1962.
She worked for Jay School Corporation for 35 years, retiring from Redkey Elementary in 2002.
A member of Parker United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, she ran the Parker City Food Pantry and was a former member of Grand Spinners Square Dance, Indiana State Square Dance Association, National Square Dance Association and Delta Theta Tau.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Sofronko, Ridgeville, and Debbie Arrington (Brian Bostic), Parker City; a sister, Sandra K. Abbott, Muncie; a brother, Larry P. Stanford (wife: Judith K.), Indianapolis; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Friday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Parker City Food Pantry, 305 S. Main St., Parker City, IN 47368.
