After giving up two touchdowns in the first half, the Patriots kept the Indians off the scoreboard the rest of the way.
They just weren’t able to find the end zone themselves.
The Jay County High School freshman football team closed its season Monday with a 14-0 loss to the visiting Mississinewa Indians.
The visitors scored a touchdown in each of the first two quarters, one of which was aided by a botched snap on a punt on Jay County’s opening drive.
Gabe Link, Ethan Corwin and Levi Peterson had five tackles each to lead the Patriots (0-8). Garrett Mann forced a fumble during the second half to stop Mississinewa deep in Jay County territory.
