Last week at Heritage: Junior Cole Stigleman rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns and added a TD through the air in leading Jay County to a 28-14 victory over the host Heritage Patriots. Jay County jumped out to a 20-0 lead at halftime before?Heritage was able to end the shutout.
Season leaders: Passing — Holton Hill – 34-of-79 for 763 yards, 10 touchdowns and one interception. Rushing — Cole Stigleman – 129 carries for 887 yards and nine touchdowns. Receiving — Bryan Stancliffe – 12 catches for 294 yards and two touchdowns. Defense — Ethan Theurer — 101 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one sack and one fumble recovery.

Last week vs. New Castle: Greenfield-Central and New Castle did all the scoring in the second quarter, with the host Cougars coming out on top 20-14. Andrew Leslie threw a touchdown pass to Braden?Brown, while Skylar Gary (98 rushing yards) and Michael Sosnowski (80 yards) had TDs on the ground.
Season leaders: Passing — Andrew Leslie – 34-of-76 for 485 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions. Rushing — Michael Sosnowski – 1,142 yards and 12 touchdowns. Receiving — Orlando Mojica – 25 catches for 474 yards and six touchdowns. Defense — Bryce Ratliff – 55 tackles, three tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Last meeting: Jay County put up nearly 400 yards of total offense in a 28-13 road victory in 2007. Billy Wellman was 15-of-30 for 189 yards and a touchdown, and also added 98 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Brandon?Reynard caught a 34-yard TD pass, and Michael Jobe had an 11-yard touchdown scamper.

Game notes: This is the fifth meeting between Jay County and Greenfield-Central and the first in nearly a decade. The Patriots hold a 3-1 edge in the series, including wins in each of the last three contests ... JCHS?junior Cole Stigleman is 113 yards shy of 1,000 rushing yards on the season. He would become the first Patriot to reach that mark since J.D. Mangas totaled 1,865 yards in 2013 ...
