Winklet will speak at Fort museum
Taking Note
The author of the new book “Tippecanoe 1811” will speak at Fort Recovery State Museum.
John Winkler will make a presentation on his book at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25. He is also the author of “Wabash 1791” and “Fallen Timbers 1794.”
“Tippecanoe 1811” describes the fighting that ensued when Indian tribes gathered in Prophetstown in the Indiana Territory near the mouth of the Tippecanoe River on the Wabash to battle the Americans.
