ANSONIA, Ohio — Fort Recovery Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams both defeated the Ansonia Tigers on Saturday.
The Tribe eighth graders won 25-6, 25-13, and the seventh grade squad won 25-14, 25-21.
Hope Wendel had four kills to lead the FRMS eighth graders. She also had four aces on her way to six points. Kierra Wendel had 10 points, nine of which were aces. Page Fortkamp had a team-high 12 kills and 10 aces to go with her pair of kills. Ava Bubp led the team with seven assists.
Emma Kahlig had nine points and six aces in leading the seventh grade Indians. Whitley Rammel added six points and five aces, and Lilie Leuthold notched five points.
Kim Hart and Macy Shinaberry had two kills each, while Madelyn Knapke and Rammel tallied three assists each.
