Went off road
A Salamonia teenager suffered minor injuries after the truck he was driving went off the road Thursday evening in Madison Township.
Devin M. Bergman, 17, 5697 E. North St., was traveling south on county road 700 East, just past county road 300 South, when the 1996 Chevrolet pick up he was driving went off the east side of the road. It went into a ditch and rolled on its drivers side.
The Chevrolet then slid about 100 feet and came to rest in a ditch on the west side of the road.
Bergman suffered minor bleeding from a cut on his leg.
The Chevrolet is registered to Eric A. Bergman, same address as the driver.
Damage in the 9:45 p.m. accident is estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
Name correction
The last name of a student at Judge Haynes Elementary in a photo on page 3 of Thursday’s edition of The Commercial Review was incorrect. Brayden’s last name is Tobe.
Recycling set
Jay County Solid Waste Management District will have recycling trailers available Saturday:
•Marsh parking lot, Portland, 9 a.m. to noon. Madison Go-Getters 4-H Club.
•Across from Pennville fire station, 8 to 11 a.m. Pennville Community Center.
