Common nuisance
A rural Portland woman was arrested on drug-related charges Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea LeAnn Burns, 23, 4850 W. 400 North, was charged with possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony.
Burns was booked into the Jay County Jail at 5:08 p.m. and is being held there on a $3,000 bond.

Possession
A Portland man and woman were arrested Sunday evening on drug charges.
Alan Robert Smith, 20, 1112 N. Franklin St., was charged with possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Level 6 felony.
Smith was booked into the Jay County Jail at 9:34 p.m. and is being held there without bond.
Desiree Nicole Walker, 23, was also charged with possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, and unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony.
She was booked into the Jay County Jail at 9:25 p.m. and is being held there on a $4,500 bond.
