Easter activities are kicking off this weekend with a couple of egg hunts in and around Jay County.
Miller’s Merry Manor, 11563 W. 300 South, Dunkirk, will host its annual Easter egg hunt for kids ages 12 and under at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Delta Theta Tau Sorority will host its Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Tabor Hall, 216 W Pleasant St., Dunkirk. The breakfast costs $5. For tickets, call (260) 251-8097.
Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene Family Center, 401 E. Boundary St., will also have an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday. Children ages 2 through sixth grade are welcome.
Easter weekend will have its share of egg hunts and activities as well.
Frank Merry Park, 18505 N. 550 East, Dunkirk, will host its annual egg hunt at 5 p.m. April 14. It is open to the public and prizes will be available.
On April 15, WPGW radio will host its annual Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. at Hudson Family Park, 509 S. Wayne St., Portland.
There will be a pair of events in Redkey that day, with the town hosting its Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. at Redkey Elementary School. Will’s IGA, 9064 W. Indiana 67, has its egg hunt scheduled for noon Saturday. There will be live music, freefood and a raffle.
Also the annual Easter egg hunt will be held at 1 p.m. April 15, at Redkey Faith Ministries for children through sixth grade. The church is located at 9811 W. Indiana 67, southwest of Redkey.
Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Centre, 200 N. Park St., Portland, will have its Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. for children younger than 12.
Limberlost State Historic Site, 200 E. 6th St., Geneva, will host its Golden Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. The cost is $2 per child for children 11-and-younger. The event will feature a petting zoo,games and photographs with the Easter Bunny.
Dunkirk will close out the Easter egg hunts with its event at 2 p.m. at Dunkirk City Park. The event is open to children 10 and younger. Incase of rain, bags of candy will be available at the park shelter house.
