Parents and high school students or adults wanting to further their education will want to visit the High School College Fair at John Jay Center for Learning in Portland.
The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Several colleges and recruiters will have booths set up to find out what they have to offer.

Night at the village
Swiss Village in Berne will have free entertainment on Saturday.
The Stardust Dance Band will perform from 7 to 8 p.m.as part of Saturday Night at the Village.
The band plays tunes from famous big bands from the 1930s and 1940s.

The American Red Cross held a blood drive on Tuesday at Jay Community Center in Portland with 69 donors giving.
Receiving gallon awards were Marlene Runyon-six gallons; Tyler Newell-one gallon; Betsi Skiver-six gallons; and James Bruner-11 gallons.
Also giving were Elizabeth Schoenlein, Thomas Clutter, Ernest Schoenlein, Ralph Frazee, Charles Bentz, Thomas Johnson, Michael Schmidt, Regina Hodge, Billy Sipe, Jane Switzer, John Clem, Sean Knutson, Joseph Reinhard, Janice Lowe, Shirley Hayden and Barry Geist.

Fort Library events
Several events are coming up at Fort Recovery Public Library.
In honor of National Library Week, which is April 9 to 15, the library will waive fines up to $5 for items returned during the week.
Color away the stress from tax season at two adult coloring sessions on April 18. They will be held from 11 a.m. to noon and again from 6 to 7 p.m. There will be refreshments and coloring materials will be provided.
The library offers help with electronic devices and computers at 3 p.m. each Monday. Help is also given for using eBooks, audio books and magazines.
Friends of the Library will meet at 7 p.m. on April 25. The public is welcome and new ideas for programs, events and fundraisers are also welcome.
