WOODBURN — Max Moser had three RBIs on the year.
He doubled that total on Friday.
Moser knocked in a career-high three runs and Payton Heniser tallied two RBIs as the Jay County High School baseball team opened Allen County Athletic Conference play with a 6-2 victory Friday over the host Woodlan Warriors.
It was the 450th career victory for Lea Selvey, whose Patriot team improved to 4-3 (1-0 ACAC).
Heniser hit a two-run double in the top of the second inning, giving Jay County the only run it needed.
Ryan Schlechty, who had three hits and scored twice, drove in Cole Stigleman in the third as the Patriots jumped out front 3-1. Two innings later, Schlechty scored on a Moser squeeze bunt, and in the top of the seventh Moser knocked in Jacob Geesaman and Schlechty.
