Jay County High School’s girls golf team dipped to 0-3 on the year with a 186-240 loss to the Muncie Central Bearcats on Thursday at Portland Golf Club.
Mackenzie Parks paced the Patriots with a team-best 51. Eden Basford was second on the team with 58, and Maddie Garringer shot 64 for third. Sierra Caster and Abby Huey had matching scores of 67 to complete Jay County’s team score.
In junior varsity action, Muncie Central won, 248-267.
Tea Nichols shot 61 to lead Jay County, which also got 63 from Gabi Paxson, 69 from Erika Heitkamp and 74 from Raquel Wehrly.
